Defect Tracking & Reporting System

Defect Tracking & Reporting

The defect reporting component within ORPMS/m2s, enables crew onboard to register unplanned maintenance jobs. Defects/Unplanned maintenance jobs onboard ships originate when the crew identify a defect in any of the components onboard the ship. This defect can then be registered into the defects module which will then be assigned to the concerned personnel for servicing.

Efficiency
The ship maintenance software from Marine Software ensures increased efficiency

Using the defect reporting system, the crew onboard the vessel can seamlessly list defects and service requests related to defects. Once the service requests are received onshore, a service ticket can be raised to the concerned personnel to service the same. The defects system also allows the crew, onshore staff and the service providers to seamlessly collaborate. Through the service ticket, requisitions can be raised for the necessary spare parts or services that are required for completing the job. The vessel / ship maintenance software gets rid of the chaos caused by the exchange of multiple emails from multiple entities. The ship defect reporting system helps easily monitor the status of defects/unplanned maintenance jobs/disturbances and ensures a swift resolution is provided to the request.
